Hosa Debuts PWL-400 Series Power Extension Cord

Daisy-chain multiple devices or extend the reach of an individual unit

Equipped with IEC C14 to IEC C13 connectors, the PWL-400 is the ideal accessory for daisy-chaining multiple units off a single power receptacle or for extending the reach of a power cord. The new Hosa PWL-400 is the perfect complement to lighting effects, guitar amplifiers, audio interfaces, wireless audio receivers, and similar equipment.

Many types of equipment—such as lighting effects units used by DJ’s and Houses of Worship—are outfitted with both IEC In and Out jacks for the purpose of daisy-chaining these devices off a single power outlet. Long length cables on stage frequently create an unsightly mess, but the PWL-400 extension cord eliminates this situation. This cable is designed to connect an electrical device equipped with a C13 outlet to one with a C14 inlet. With extension cord lengths as short as 1.5 feet, a stack of lighting effects, for example, can be daisy-chained together, with all cables safely out of view.

Most devices commonly used in our industry—from lighting to audio to data—require an IEC C13 power connector. When the cable supplied by the equipment manufacturer is simply too short to reach the wall outlet, the new Hosa PWL-400 extension cord provides the valuable extra length necessary to reach it—without having to sacrifice the equipment’s preferred placement. A guitarist, for example, may find the ideal placement for his amplifier to be short of reaching the wall receptacle. By connecting the Hosa PWL-400 into the IEC connector on the back of the amplifier, the power cord supplied with the amplifier can now be connected into the PWL-400 and from there, into the wall.

New USB-200FB Series High Speed USB Cables Now Shipping

Unique design facilitates space-saving right angle connections

Ideal for DJ’s, musicians, and audio professionals who find themselves having to make connections to an elevated laptop computer and related equipment in cramped quarters, the USB-200FB USB cables offer a unique pivoting connector designed to conserve valuable space in tight surroundings.

Available in 3-, 6-, and 10-foot lengths (USB-203FB, USB-206FB, and USB-210FB), the new USB-200FB USB cables feature a pivoting Type A connector—the end that typically connects to a computer—that can be set to either straight or right angle positions. This enables one to use the cable in its straight orientation when space permits and in a right angle position in cramped quarters. Hosa Announces USB-200FB Series USB Cables

Unique design facilitates space-saving right angle connections

Buena Park, CA – November 2012… Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician and audio/video professional, is pleased to announce the introduction of the USB-200FB Series High Speed USB Cables with Pivoting A Connector. Ideal for DJ’s, musicians, and audio professionals who find themselves having to make connections to an elevated laptop computer and related equipment in cramped quarters, the USB-200FB USB cables offer a unique pivoting connector designed to conserve valuable space in tight surroundings.

Available in 3-, 6-, and 10-foot lengths (USB-203FB, USB-206FB, and USB-210FB), the new USB-200FB USB cables feature a pivoting Type A connector—the end that typically connects to a computer—that can be set to either straight or right angle positions. This enables one to use the cable in its straight orientation when space permits and in a right angle position in cramped quarters. In its right angle position, the computer would typically be placed on an elevated laptop stand (so the cable can hang off the side) or at the edge of the work surface. For DJ’s, whose production rig commonly consists of a laptop computer, mixer, turntables, and a digital controller, the new USB-200FB USB cables can be a valuable means of making connections in an environment where space is frequently limited.

To ensure interoperability with a wide range of USB peripherals, the new Hosa USB-200FB USB cables are fully compliant with the USB 2.0 serial bus interface standard and are backward compatible with the USB 1.1 standard. Equally notable, these cables support burst data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps. These cables are an excellent choice for connecting an audio interface, USB microphone or instrument, or most computer peripherals to a PC.
