Hosa Announces New SNX Series Pro-Conex Stage Boxes

New models with XLR returns ensure whisper-clean monitor mixes

Buena Park, CA – March 2010… Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician, is pleased to announce the introduction of the SNX Series Pro-Conex Stage Boxes with XLR returns. Incorporating a wealth of features designed to provide years of reliable service, the new SNX Series Pro-Conex stage boxes provide clean, transparent audio feeds to and from the house audio console and, with all terminations being XLR, are ideal for live-sound environments where long cable runs are common. The SNX Series is available in multiple configurations and lengths.

Heavy-duty construction is a hallmark of the new SNX Series Pro-Conex stage boxes. Designed to withstand the rigors of professional touring, all models employ heavy-gauge, rolled-steel chassis with a black enamel textured finish. This combination of materials minimizes the possibility of damage and keeps the units looking new longer. With high-contrast white numbers on the chassis and corresponding numbered leads, users will have no difficulty tracing connections, regardless of the lighting conditions on stage. A heavy-duty wire mesh hanger provides strain relief when supporting the cable fan.

In addition to their robust construction, the new SNX Series Pro-Conex stage boxes are built to provide superior audio quality. These stage boxes utilize genuine Neutrik® XLR connectors on all sends and returns for trouble-free connections, free from clicks, pops, or other annoying sonic artifacts. Additionally, all models employ foil-wrapped, heat shrink-protected internal wiring. Similarly, each lead/signal path is individually shielded using 24 AWG x 2 OFC (oxygen free copper) conductors—thus ensuring superior signal transmission.

Hosa Technology’s new SNX Series Pro-Conex stage boxes are available in multiple configurations and cable lengths—ranging from 8 sends/4 returns and a 25 ft cable fan to 24 sends/4 returns and a 150 ft cable fan. In all, there are fourteen models encompassing configurations with 8, 12, 16, and 24 sends and 25, 50, 100, and 150 ft cable lengths. All models employ 4 returns.

Hosa Announces New Microphone Clips

Robust, reliable clips provide years of service

Buena Park, CA – October 2009… Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician and audio/video professional, is pleased to announce the availability of two new microphone clips—the models MHR-422 and MHR-425. Manufactured from state-of-the-art materials, the new microphone clips are all but impossible to break and, as a result, deliver years of service.

The new Hosa MHR-422 and MHR-425 microphone clips are offered in 22 mm and 25 mm diameters respectively. These two sizes will readily accept the overwhelming majority of microphones currently available. The MHR-422 is designed for use with dynamic mics while the MHR-425 is designed for wireless mics. They are threaded for US compliance and will fit atop most any microphone stand sold in the United States. Additionally, a European (EU) adapter is included. Both models are RoHS compliant.

Both microphone clips are manufactured from a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). This cutting-edge material is a physical mix of rubber and plastic and yields the benefits of each. These new microphone clips offer a more “grippy” feel than traditional clips. This attribute makes them easier to handle and they will not scratch the surface of one’s expensive microphones. Thanks to their 90 Shore A hardness, these new clips are more durable and longer lasting than plastic models. The microphone clips are all but impossible to break if the microphone stand is dropped or experiences rough handling during transport.

Jonathan Pusey, Hosa Technology’s National Marketing Manager, commented on the new Hosa MHR-422 and MHR-425 microphone clips. “Microphone clips are the Rodney Dangerfield of professional audio equipment,” says Pusey. “They get no respect until such time as they fail—then suddenly the performer has a big problem. Even gaffer tape can’t resolve the inconvenience of a faulty microphone clip. Thanks to the thermoplastic elastomer used to construct these clips, the new MHR-422 and MHR-425 are extremely durable and are guaranteed to provide years of reliable service. This cutting-edge material makes it easier to insert or remove a microphone during the heat of performance and the two sizes will easily accept a wider range of microphones. I’m confident musicians and other performers will appreciate the build quality of these new workhorse mic clips.”

Hosa Technology’s new MHR-422 and MHR-425 microphone clips are available now and carry the following pricing:

Model MSRP
MHR-422 $6.45
MHR-425 $6.75
