Hosa and CAIG Laboratories Expand Partnership

Instrument care products gain a commanding presence with new agreement

Buena Park, CA – July 2009 … Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician, and CAIG Laboratories, the leading producer of environmentally-safe contact cleaners and connector enhancing treatments, are pleased to announce the two firms have expanded their distribution partnership of CAIG’s product offerings.  Hosa Technology has distributed CAIG products for over a decade, but the new agreement increases the company’s access to the highly regarded CAIG product line. In the process, Hosa’s broad customer base, which includes the musical instrument, audio, and video markets, now has access to substantially more of CAIG’s innovative offerings.

The newly expanded distribution partnership with CAIG Laboratories provides Hosa Technology’s customers with access to nine CAIG offerings from the DeoxIT® product line. These include DeoxIT D5 Contact Cleaner & Rejuvenator—both in Spray and handy Wipes. DeoxIT is a fast-acting deoxidizing solution that cleans, protects, lubricates and improves conductivity on all metal connectors and contacts. DeoxIT G5 GOLD Contact Enhancer, Conditioner & Protector—in both Spray and convenient Wipes is also available. DeoxIT GOLD is a unique conditioning solution that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection on gold, base metals, and other precious metal contacts and connections, including nickel, silver, rhodium, copper, and bronze. DeoxIT S5 SHIELD Spray and Wipes are also now available from Hosa. As a contact protector for severe environments, DeoxIT Shield is recommended after DeoxIT contact cleaner for superior protection of new metal surfaces and it is also ideal where high degrees of pollution (sulfur, salts, acids, etc.) are present.

Additionally, The Hosa / CAIG distribution agreement includes DeoxIT D100 Spray contact cleaner and rejuvenator, DeoxIT F5 FaderLube, a Spray precision lubricant for conductive plastics and carbon-based controls such as faders, slide potentiometers, and conductive membranes, as well as DeoxIT F100L FaderLube, a needle dispenser form factor of this invaluable lubricant.

Hosa Celebrates 25 Years of Innovation

From its humble beginnings in 1984, Hosa Technology has developed into an internationally recognized leader that provides an expansive range of cables and connectors, MIDI interfaces, stage boxes, preamplifiers, headphones, microphones, patchbays, instrument care products, switchers, digital audio format adapters, and more. Hosa Technology marks its Silver Anniversary June 1st, 2009.

Hosa Technology opened for business on June 1, 1984.The Company was conceived and started by Sho Sato for the purpose of distributing Hosa-brand musical instrument cables, adaptors, and accessories to musical instrument dealers worldwide. Born in 1943 in Yokohama, Japan, Mr. Sato moved to the United States in 1967 to work for the TEAC Corporation of America in Montebello, CA as a technician before rising to the position of National Sales Manager, Accessories Division. He stayed with TEAC until 1984 when he launched Hosa Technology, Incorporated.

As it approaches its 25th year in business, Hosa Technology has evolved into a highly diversified organization with a comprehensive product line that addresses the requirements of professionals and enthusiasts alike.  Moving well beyond its humble beginnings as a supplier of cables and adapters for musicians, Hosa Technology now offers products for musicians, tour sound professionals, the A/V contractor market, and carries a total of greater than 2000 SKU’s.
