Hosa Technology Gains ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The benchmark for quality management ensures highest levels of customer satisfaction

Buena Park, CA – July 2013… Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician and audio/video professional, is pleased to announce it has received ISO 9001:2008 certification. As the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards, ISO certification helps make industry more efficient and effective. Developed through global consensus, the requirements for certification help to break down barriers to international trade by ensuring the highest corporate standards for products, services, and good practice.

Hosa’s ISO project commenced in May 2012 and the company obtained certification on June 20, 2013. As part of the certification procedure, Hosa underwent three stages of external audits to evaluate its core business processes. In each case, the company was found to be compliant to the ISO standard. ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only such standard that can be certified. It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement. ISO 9001:2008 is implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries.

BSI Group was the registrar that conducted the audits leading to Hosa’s ISO 9001:2008 certification. BSI Group, which provides testing and certification of products and services, has grown into a leading global independent business services organization providing standard-based solutions in more than 140 countries. BSI Client Manager Brian Vaden oversaw Hosa’s ISO 9001:2008 certification process.

Hosa Extends Territorial Reach for Asia Pacific Music Marketing

Manufacturer representative for Asia Pacific region gains new responsibilities

Hosa Appoints New Executive Vice President

Transition to a new generation of leadership

Buena Park, CA – December 2010 … Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician and distributor of Da-Cappo Micro Microphones throughout the Americas, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mayumi Martinez to the newly created position of Executive Vice President. Martinez’ appointment is intended to prepare the company for the next generation of leadership as founding President Sho Sato transitions to retirement. Her appointment took effect in December 2010.

In her new position, Martinez will eventually be responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations. This will include all financial matters, streamlining in-house infrastructure to increase productivity and improve operating efficiencies and, with the support and expertise of the management team, expand Hosa’s product lines and increase sales with the goal of taking the company to the next level.

Martinez is a seasoned financial specialist with an extensive background managing the implementation of conventional mortgage products. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Product Implementation Manager at Bank of America where she was responsible for coordinating the execution of mortgage loan products within various company-wide areas including Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, IT, Fair Lending, Training, Risk Management, and Marketing. Prior to her position with Bank of America, she worked forCountrywide Home Loans where she served as 1st Vice President, Products and, prior to this position, Assistant Vice President, Community Development Initiatives.

Instrument care products gain a commanding presence with new agreement

Buena Park, CA – July 2009 … Hosa Technology, the leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician, and CAIG Laboratories, the leading producer of environmentally-safe contact cleaners and connector enhancing treatments, are pleased to announce the two firms have expanded their distribution partnership of CAIG’s product offerings.  Hosa Technology has distributed CAIG products for over a decade, but the new agreement increases the company’s access to the highly regarded CAIG product line. In the process, Hosa’s broad customer base, which includes the musical instrument, audio, and video markets, now has access to substantially more of CAIG’s innovative offerings.

The newly expanded distribution partnership with CAIG Laboratories provides Hosa Technology’s customers with access to nine CAIG offerings from the DeoxIT® product line. These include DeoxIT D5 Contact Cleaner & Rejuvenator—both in Spray and handy Wipes. DeoxIT is a fast-acting deoxidizing solution that cleans, protects, lubricates and improves conductivity on all metal connectors and contacts. DeoxIT G5 GOLD Contact Enhancer, Conditioner & Protector—in both Spray and convenient Wipes is also available. DeoxIT GOLD is a unique conditioning solution that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection on gold, base metals, and other precious metal contacts and connections, including nickel, silver, rhodium, copper, and bronze.
